Infrastructure today

Kazan is a large railway, road-transport and aviation center, it has the largest port on the river Volga. Today there is being built the first metro-line, and it’s planned to open it for public use already in 2005.

The city administration pays great attention to the sport development: so the old stadiums and swimming-pools are being restored and the new ones are being built. The Sport Palace with its 2 manufactured ice rings has got a new face.
