According to the “Province Regulations” of 1775, the Kazan province consisted of 13 districts (uyezds): Kazansky, Arsky, Kozmodemyansky, Laishevsky, Mamadishsky, Tsarevokokshaisky, Tsivilsky, Cheboksarsky, Chistopolsky, Spassky, Tetushinsky and Yadrinsky. By the end of the century Kazan province had acquired the magnitude and administrative division that existed with marginal changes until the Great October Revolution. |
