314 companies of republic donate 146 mln roubles to Kazan

At the 23rd session of the Kazan Council of People’s Deputies the preparation to the 1000th Jubilee of Kazan celebration was considered. 5 months before the celebration it was recognised satisfactory.

Beginning from 2000, from all the finance sources over 60.5 bln roubles have been assimilated, over 200 objects commissioned. One of the most remarkable activities became the dilapidated housing liquidation programme. 33306 Kazan families moved into brand new flats, over 3,5 mln sq meters of new accommodation were built as programme’s outcome. As Kazan Mayor Kamil Iskhakov noted, today, it has no comparison in the world what has been done at this part of the republic. UN Deputy Director General Kenzo Oshima interested in Tatarstan experience in the liquidation programme, is expected to visit us in June, 2005, as Kamil Iskhakov informed.
