1920 22 January – first issue of “Kazan yashleri” newspaper for the youth was published in Tatar (currently “Tatarstan yashleri”).
1920 2 March – the chief of the first criminal investigation department N.I. Golubyatnikov was murdered by criminals. One of Kazan’s streets was named after him.
1920 16 April – Shakespeare’s “Othello” was for the first time rendered in Tatar and performed given in Kazan.
1920 25 June - Kazan was declared the capital of the Tatar Autonomy Soviet Socialist Republic.
1920 – Institute of advanced medical studies was opened (GIDUV).
1921 1 June – Institute of agriculture and forestry was opened.
1922 – Musa Jalil came to Kazan for studying.
1922 – the Tatar theatre professional school was opened up.
1923 – first number of satiric magazine was published.
1923 – the Tatar branch of revolutionary Russia artists association was founded.
1924 26 January – the Kazan state university was named after Vladimir Ulyanov.
1924 3 March – Kazan brewery “Krasnyi Vostok” began to brew beer.
1924 16 June – Aysedora Dunkan gave her only performance at the theatre at Prolomnaya (Baumana) street in Kazan.
1924 – the mail was first sent by aeroplane from Kazan to Moscow.
1925 11 January – the play “Devushka Bibkey” after Musa Jalil was successfully put at theatre
1925 27 April – after “Grigri” cinema had burnt down it was replaced by “Union” cinema (at the present “Rodina”).
1925 – putting the TASSR’s 3rd anniversary power plant into action.
1926 27 January – “Sania” opera’s premiere took place at the workers’ palace.
1926 1 September – first regular bus was put into service. |
