1917 27 November – the revolutionary tribunal was set up by the town council.
1917 1 December – first copy of “Kazanskoye slovo” newspaper was published.
1918 8 January – second all-Russia Muslim congress was opened.
1918 28 January – the Kazan municipal duma was abrogated and changed for the Soviet municipal services.
1918 3 March – the revolutionary staff imposed martial law in Kazan.
1918 7 March – the executive committee of the Kazan workers’ , peasants’ and soldiers’ deputies abolished the city militia and imposed local self-defense committees instead.
1918 7 August – Kazan was captured by Kappelevs ( foreign soldiers) and rebellious troops of the Czechoslovakian military body.
1918 10 September – Kazan was overpowered by Red Army troops.
1918 October – the pedagogical institute commenced its activity.
1919 9 January – the polytechnic institute was opened (currently S.M. Kirov KSTU).
1919 18 March – the Kazan agricultural institute was opened.
1919 31 – first community work day was carried out in Kazan. |
