XII - XIV – the centre of  the Kazan principality within the Golden Horde.

2^nd half of XIVth c – campaigns against Kazan by Russian and the Horde princes.

1312-1342 – governance of khan Uzbek: flourishing and might of the Golden Horde.

2^nd half of XIVth c – period of revolts in the Golden Horde.

1391-1395 – campaigns against the towns of Horde by Timur.

1420s – collapse of the Golden Horde.

1438-1445 – foundation of Kazan khanate.

1486 – treaty of “permanent peace between Moscow and Kazan” was reached for.

1487 – capture of Kazan and Ilkham Khan. Beginning of the Russian protectorate’s period.
