7000 years ago – emergence of the first people on the native land.

4500-5000 years ago – the Brazen-Stone Age. People switch over to farming and cattle-breeding.

3000-3500 years ago – the Bronze Age period (tribes of Kazan).

VII - III centuries BC – early time of the Iron Age (tribes of Anan).

End of VIIth c – Beginning of VIIIth c – emergence of the early Bulgars on the middle Volga.
