Hafiz Salikhov: Foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan by the end of year will go beyond 10 billion dollars

The foreign trade turnover in Tatarstan for 9 months has made 7,4 billion dollars, that is by 64 percent more than last year's level. Such data were given at a briefing past today at RT Cabinet, by Minister of trade and external economic cooperation Hafiz Salikhov.

The head of Ministry of Trade noted, that the index of economic activity of the republic stably has been progressing since 1999. However he has named the most important achievement of last years - increase of export share in structure of commodity circulation." Last year for this period it made 90,8 percent , and in 2005 has gone up to 93,7 percent, - minister emphasized. And, the volume of commodity circulation, both with the Russian regions, and the CIS countries is growing. For example, now in total volume of the foreign trade turnover of republic the quarter falls at Commonwealth states. As to trade and economic relations with far abroad countries here also positive shifts are marked , H.Salikhov noted. First five places in rating of trading partners of Tatarstan traditionally stick to Turkey, Ukraine, Holland, the Great Britain and Poland.

The head of RT Ministry of Trade explained impressive growth of export by developing price conjuncture for energy carriers on the world markets. "Black gold, by his data, raised in price, in comparison with 2004, almost 70 percent, its price has come nearer to a mark of 60 dollars per barrel. H.Salikhov named this "bad tendency changing general distribution in structure of republic's export. Now, the share of crude oil in structure of export has grown up to 69 percent , deliveries of mineral oil do not exceed the tenth part, and production of machine-building branch is about 7 percent.

However, whatever this ratio may be, H.Saklihov said, stable growth of commodity circulation, especially in July - September, cannot but please us. The same tendency is predicted, according to RT Ministry of Trade, in the fourth quarter of 2005. By our assessment the foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan by the end of year will go beyond 10 billion dollars, - minister assured.
