"We want to see Kazan like the best cities of the world"

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held the meeting on issues of Kazan architectural shape improvement.

RT Prime- minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT first vice-premier Ravil Muratov, minister of construction, architecture and housing and communal services Marat Khusnullin, head of Kazan administration Kamil Iskhakov, heads of the architectural - design organizations, private architectural workshops took part in it.

The 3 projects on development and building of right side of Kazanka river, the project of the old airport territory planning and building, the project on development and building of the territory between Republican clinical hospital and Orenburgsky road in a direction of the second transport ring were submitted to RT President. During the projects development, the architecture experience of such cities, as Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Astana (Kazakhstan) was taken into account.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted, that after the celebrations devoted to the 1000-anniversary of Kazan, the capital authorities and architects community should work at the city. Thus, the special attention should be fixed on the right side of Kazanka river, it is rather new part of city. « Unfortunately, the right side of the river is built up fragmentary and incomplex », - President told. It is necessary to use Kazanka water area for true modern city building. « It is a new major problem for decision of which is necessary to attract of Tatarstan , Russian and foreign investments », - Mintimer Shaimiev noted.
