By 2006 all Kazan districts should be abolished

In Kazan by January 1, 2006, all seven districts should be abolished. According to the federal legislation on local self- government, in city municipal districts to which in the republic Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny are referred , there can not be independent territories. This was informed by deputy chairman of the RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova during discussion of reform on local self-government at the press club of the House of journalists.

Rimma Ratnikova has assumed, that the representative body of municipal formation can set up its structures in all seven districts - they can refer to as branches, prefectures, authority etc.

At the same time the federal law entitles inhabitants of municipalities to set up Territorial Public Self-Authorities. They will act at a level of house, entrance, can independently solve issues, for example, forms of payment of services for housing and communal services.
