International Day of Elderly People

The International Day of Elderly People will pass in atmosphere of common respect for the senior generation. So RT Minister of social protection Klavdia Novikova stated at the briefing in RT Cabinet today.

As she said, respect for old men, by whose diligence the republic has changed into one of the advanced Russian regions is traced both in the attitude of the society to them and in state policy. Therefore, she considers, the actions planned for October 1 is an expression of national gratitude to the senior generation. "This day would unite efforts of all branches of authority, public and religious organizations so that any of 750 thousand citizens who have stepped a pension age, remained not without attention, - head of ministry noted. In K.Novikova's opinion, for the fifth part of the population of Tatarstan this Day of Elderly People would be a very memorable one.
