RT Government and "Chemtura Corporation" signed protocol of intentions

RT Prime- minister Rustam Minnikhanov and president of « Chemtura Corporation » (USA) Robert Wood signed the protocol of intentions.

Before the signing the protocol, it was the extensive acquaintance of the American corporation representatives with the Republic enterprises of petrochemical complex . The delegation of « Chemtura Corporation » visited Nizhnekamsk ORP, JSC " Nizhnekamskneftekhim", company "Nizhnekamskshina" and a number of Kazan petrochemical enterprises.

« Chemtura Corporation » is one of the largest corporations of USA on manufacture of industrial chemicals with an annual turnover in 3,7 billion dollars. The company was formed in July, 2005 as a result of American « Crompton Corporarion » and « Great Lakes Chemical Corporation » merging. At present , its management is aimed at active development of the East Europe and petrochemical regions of Russia on behalf of Republic Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed the hope, that RT petrochemical enterprises and « Chemtura Corporation » can carry out the joint projects and programs and promised the all-round assistance of the Government in the decision of this problem. Robert Wood emphasized, that « Chemtura Corporation » will not only deliver the newest industrial chemicals to Tatarstan, but also to create the joint enterprises for maintenance of hydrocarbonic raw material processing in the region . « Many our competitors are aimed at China. Our priority is Tatarstan, not China », - emphasize Mr. Wood.
