Аt the IX extraordinary conference of Tatarstan regional branch of All-Russia political party « United Russia » the appeal to citizens of Kazan and residents of the republic on the occasion of celebrating the 1000-anniversary of Kazan was accepted.

In the text of the appeal, in particular, it is said that celebrating the 1000-anniversary of Kazan has not only all-Russian, but also world significance. « Kazan is one of the most ancient cities of the world, the primordial keeper of inter-confessional and interethnic traditions of accord. The republic is proud of powerful economic and intellectual potential, the richest historical and cultural heritage developed for centuries. The ideas and values of the Euroasian culture are close to Tatarstanians. Ancient Kazan became a place of a unification of a cultural heritage of peoples in all their variety », - is said in the text of the document.
