17.06.05International ombudsmen conference opened in Kazan | The international ombudsmen conference " Tolerance as the factor of steady development of modern civilization" opened in Kazan. About 100 representatives on human rights from Austria, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, representatives of UNESCO in the Russian Federation representatives from 25 subjects of the Russian Federation, representatives of government bodies of the Volga federal district, Republic Tatarstan, members of public, religious, right defenders organizations take part in the event

"Institute of ombudsmen, the defender of human rights, the rights of peoples is an integral part of the civilized state. The Russian Federation for the first time hosts ombudsmen of the European countries. And the fact, that so representative forum is held in Tatarstan is rather indicative, - is said in the appeal. Representatives of various peoples and faiths peacefully live and work in the republic.
