East and West: Globalization and cultural identity

The international congress "East and West : globalization and cultural identity opened at the Kazan state university of culture and arts . An opportunity to hold large scientific action in which program three symposiums, lectures and round tables, university received, having won in 2004 the grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The agenda of the congress appeared actual for representatives of many nationalities living both in the Russian Federation, and beyound its borders, among them the Mari, the Udmurts, the Mordva, the Chuvashs, the Crimean Tatars , the Bashkirs, the Turks, the Germans. Not less interesting seemed for for the commission of RF Ministry of Education a place of holding the event : 1000-years anniversary has turned in a worthy occasion for many to visitthe city in which, not losing cultural identity, a plenty of nationalities and their ethnic groups is living .
