Dr. of Political Science Rafik Mukhametshin reported on “Problems of Islam identity in modern Tatarstan” at the section “Islam in Muslim Eurasia”. The research sponsored by Birmingham University, UK comprises the follolowing: “Tatar Islam” by Pashat Safin, “Russian Islam” by Sergey Gradurovsky, “Islam traditions” by Valiulla Yakupov and “Euroislam” by Rafael Khakimov. The author noted, there is radicalisation of Islam in modern Tatarstan, not in politics, but in intellectual sphere of life and it is mostly due to ignorance of new concept developers. |
